MarketSummaryThis position is for a senior Data Architect who has hands-on experience with Hadoop, Storm, Mongo, NOSQL, CEP and related technologies to focus on design and execution of a new Operational Analytics initiative.
This position will involve architecture and programming work on an applied analytics platform.
Candidates must also have significant depth in Data Warehouse design, Distributed Computing and Data Information Architecture.
ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the Data and Information Architecture SVP, Project Director and other project teams the Data Architect will fill the role of technical expert to our client's Member organizations, Solution Architects, Operations Teams and Business owners.
Act as liaison encouraging and supporting project use and contribution with a goal to make the Information Architecture (IA) initiative easy to adopt.
Translate business requirements into specific system, application, and process designs including working with customers to identify functional requirements and leading others in the identification, justification and design of architectures.
Track and document requirements for enterprise development projects and enhancements providing updates to the Core Team and SVP.
Present and solicit feedback from customers related to the Information Architecture models and tools; develop and present IA associated value/business metrics.
Provide significant contribution to assure adoption and continued evolution of the IA toolset.
Assist in analysis of specific system elements, such as system software, transactions, integration architecture, data modeling, and processes, with recommendations for appropriate changes.
Develop relationships with key project stakeholders to assist in meeting these objectives.
Exhibit advanced organizational, communications, listening and interpersonal relationship skills.
Willing to travel 20% of the time and perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsDemonstrated ability to lead and present project work and apply the essence of our client's core values.
Bachelors Degree in computer science/engineering (Masters Degree is a plus).
Hands-on experience in application programming with experience with at least one high level programming language (e.
g.
Java, C++, C#) in an enterprise development setting with progression to an Architect role5-7 years of experience in Data Information Architecture, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Distributed Computing.
Hands on experience with Hadoop, Storm, Redis, Mongo or related technologies.
Data modeling experience; design of conceptual, logical and physical data architecturesWorking knowledge of UML (Class Diagrams, Use Cases, Sequence Diagrams, etc.
)Experience driving and realizing a complex/ full end-to-end solution and how decision/design impacts architecture delivery.
In depth experience in Systems Integration and implementation.
Experience designing open architectures that adhere to Service Oriented principles.
Knowledge of XML Schema and JSON.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; influential interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively at both the executive and technical levels; strong leadership with the ability to lead technical teams.
Experience with Any of the Following is a PlusSome working knowledge of cable systems BSS/OSS architecture, network operations, and administrationExperience designing and implementing B/OSS Enterprise Architectures based on industry best practice and platforms.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
