Represent Bethpage Federal Credit Union as an outside mortgage Loan Officer. Must have 3 to 5 years of mortgage sales/originations experience from a bank, mortgage company or financial institution A good knowledge of the Long Island real estate market is required. Increases mortgage loan portfolio by developing business contacts; attracting mortgage customers; assisting the mortgage loan processing and closing staff. This position also requires availability to attend networking events before and after traditional work hours to build prospecting pipelines. Real estate contacts within the Long Island market preferred with an ability to attract new mortgage loan applications by developing new relationships within the community. Knowledge of Fannie Mae Underwriting guidelines is required and ability to adapt to market driven portfolio programs.

Minimum of 3-years experience in mortgage sales with a proven track record of generating mortgage sales. Knowledge of Fannie Mae underwriting guidelines, desktop underwriting systems and an ability to adapt to market driven portfolio programs.

Must have good understanding of Long Island business marketplace.
Experience creating and performing sales presentations for large groups or 1 to 1 meetings
Ability to bench mark, set and manage goals process.
Strong networking skills and ability to develop relationships
Working Knowledge of Excel/ Word/Power Point/ Outlook

College Degree preferred
Banking certificates preferred
Sales training preferred

Must have reliable transportation with flexibility to attend morning, evening and weekend events on a regular basis.
Must be willing to work untraditional work hours including early mornings, evenings and on occasion weekends.
Must be able to speak with confidence in front of large groups and meet with high-level executives in a group or 1 to 1 environments with enthusiasm
Excellent verbal & written communication skills along with organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in teams to collaborate with colleagues and external clients.
Must register with the National Mortgage Licensing Registry.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
