SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Organizational Development Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing programs that align workforce with key business strategies and initiatives. OD Specialist works collaboratively across all business units to ensure L&D and HR programs and initiatives align to business need and corporate objectives. The Organizational Development Specialist focuses on delivering support services to Bethpage Federal Credit Union employees by providing identification/assessment, development and implementation of initiatives that increase the level of quality member service and knowledge within Bethpage personnel. Specific areas of focus will be designated based on goals and needs.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Bench strength:
Assists in the design, development and delivery of programs for the organization's initiatives intended to effectively measure, monitor, analyze, and improve the performance and competencies of team members and high potential employees. This would include supporting current and future programs in the identification of future leaders, assessing/measuring development opportunities (gap analysis), and aligning training/coaching resources to meet individual needs. Internal consultant to management in the identification, development, and implementation of performance and development processes. From new hire through to career development being involved in creating an engaged and strong workforce.

Employee Performance, Service, Engagement, & Relations:

Supports and assists various levels of leadership in creating organizational, department, and individual development plans to enable the workforce to meet the demands of future initiatives, retain high performers, identify emerging leaders, and increase employee engagement and member service. Responsible for development and integration of performance management programs and multiple related projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. Create and implement programs at work that connect employees with business goals.
Talent management:
This includes work on talent assessment/skill gap analysis, needs assessment, organizational design, group dynamics and behavior, team building design and facilitation, and related solutions. Implement specific knowledge management processes to capture and protect critical knowledge and intellectual capital (Knowledge Management), while working closely with Learning and Development to ensure mentoring, OJT and Shadowing programs are utilized to effect knowledge transfer of key positions.
Succession Planning:
Analysis, design and development of succession planning programs, resources, and requirements. Facilitates local Succession Management and Talent Development initiative by designing and implementing short- and long-term processes, tools and developmental programs that promote career advancement for high potential leaders.
EXPERIENCE
Required: Three to five years' experience Training & Development environment and experience in Adult Learning and Employee Development
Demonstrated achievement in supervisory and development skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple training and performance improvement projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of principles of performance management
Advanced skills in the following:
Needs assessment
Training program design
Program evaluation methods
Training techniques
Presentation
Experience building and maintaining relationships with all levels of employee
Ability to facilitate, lead, and motivate a team to achieve objectives
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Thorough understanding of Financial Services systems, policies and procedures preferred

EDUCATION
Bachelor Degree in a field related to training. Preferred disciplines include Education, Business, Management, Psychology, and Computer Science or comparable L&D work experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
