SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the daily oversight of the Residential Mortgage Operations Department at Bethpage, and acting liaison for S3 Mortgage fulfillment (operations center). The Assistant Vice President will formulate policies and business strategies that provide the general direction for the operations department and guidance to S3. Responsibilities will include high-level administrative support to the executive team in directing projects, reporting and audit needs. In addition to direct oversight of the Operations Manager, Real Estate Lending System Admin and Bethpage Real Estate Lending call group.
Provides guidance to S3 and Operations managers on specific objectives for programs, project and strategic plans, set forth by executive management.
Works with executive management, Mortgage Sales teams, secondary marketing, and product manager with the creation of new products, rates and processes.
Oversees daily management of real estate operations. Works collaboratively with S3 and CU counterparts and internal areas on pipeline management and process flow to insure turn times and SLA's.
Oversees the Mortgage Real Estate System/Admin to ensure the integrity of loan data entered in Loan Origination Systems. Ensures changes, compliance and process flows adjustments are documented and audited.
Oversight of the Bethpage Real Estate Lending Call group; staffing, performance and goals.
Examines and implements overall improvements in processes and procedures for the operations team, real estate originations system and the Bethpage Real Estate Lending call group.
Analyzes operations of the department to establish areas of cost reduction and improvement of efficiency.
Reviews loan exception, approvals and declinations.
Monitor and prepare performance evaluations on direct reports. Oversee the performance of staff and assist management with coaching.
Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements including but not limited to: HMDA, RESPA, Reg Z, Reg B, Fact Act, and Safe Act.
Oversee results of internal and external audits. Works with internal audit and compliance on any necessary exams or compliance needs (i.e. NCUA, MI company etc.)
Oversee the updating as required, all internal underwriting policies and procedures and works with compliance on QC plans and reporting.
Creates and maintains an efficient and productive work environment/culture.
Ensures effective communication with staff, management, CU partners & S3.
Demonstrate exceptional service in all interactions with members.
Provide guidance, training, coaching and assistance to operations staff as needed.
Responsible for hiring, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions and termination.
5% Travel
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
