General Summary:

WW is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join the team. He/She will primarily be responsible for the timely management of all tax correspondents and deliverables of federal, multi-state and local agency notices, as well as researching tax laws and regulations and implementing the appropriate process and treatments. Responsibilities will also include performing regular and periodic internal audits of various payroll areas and preparing materials for external and internal audits. He/She will also perform a wide variety of routine record keeping and payroll processing activities, including computing wages and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, and processing manual pay requests, multi state payroll accounting and other administrative duties to support he Payroll Departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Processing/Admin Processing:

  • Responsible for the coordination of all payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filings. Maintains full communications with ADP as well as strong reference material related to all tax information, for all companies. Role is primary to ADP tax related processes, including but not limited to, quarter and annual amendment processing, tax filing notices (Tracers), Error Correction Notices, and respective reconciliations related to local, state, and federal tax levels.
  • Compile financial, tax and payroll reports for both internal and external purpose; submits to manager for review.
  • Manage incoming mail and coordinates and interacts with local, state, and federal agencies on all issues relevant to payroll processing. Coordinate with ADP Tax Services to research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency on all payroll functions.
  • Manage the Escheatment process for WW.
  • Recommend and participate in the development of new and/or existing procedures, related to all payroll operations, utilizing knowledge of internal systems as well as local, state and federal policies and regulations.
  • Generates audit and ad hoc reports.

  • Excellent written/ oral communication skills
  • Flexible schedule is needed in order to accommodate any system problems or increased work load that may require additional hours worked.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to serving internal/external customers

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of related payroll and tax experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ADP eTime System & ADP Payroll Systems, ADP Smart Compliance, ADP4ME
  • Excellent analytical and follow up skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, cross training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain vendor relationships
  • CPP accreditation preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
