Franchised Sales Manager - Dual Hotels

Urgo Hotels & Resorts seeks an experienced hotel sales manager to support the direct sales efforts of our two New York LaGuardia Airport hotels: the 173-suite SPRINGHILL SUITES by MARRIOTT in CORONA and the 88-room FAIRFIELD INN by MARRIOTT in FLUSHING!

The successful candidate must be able to balance the two visions of the two distinct brands, while meeting the revenue and guest satisfaction goals of both hotels. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the primary responsibilities of the SALES MANAGER include qualifying, developing and maintaining group accounts through direct sales; generating top line revenue to meet or exceed budgeted goals; supporting all revenue management strategies; and any other sales activities.

  • Outside/direct hotels sales experience required.
  • Working knowledge of LaGuardia market preferred. Able to shift market share from competition.
  • Qualify leads and prospects gained from cold calls, sales blitzes, National Sales Office and other sources.
  • Establish and maintain close contact with top accounts and target accounts, through phone calls, tours, appointments, correspondence and entertainment. Network with prospects and established accounts to uncover other decision-makers.
  • Assist Director of Sales & Marketing with the marketing plan, to achieve the highest occupancy rate and ADR. Perform sales tasks and goals as outlined in the marketing plan. Support all revenue management strategies.
  • Qualify in-house guests by attending hospitality hours, property breakfasts, property social events, etc.
  • Ability to work cohesively with other hotel departments and associates.
  • Be readily available for all guests. Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns, to achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Must be detail oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work some evenings, weekends and Holidays.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
