In this position, you will:
Primary Purpose of Job
Provide training to Vocational staff, participate in Vocational department billing and compliance processes and oversee the departments scheduling of staff and assignments.
Essential Functions
+ Design and implement the vocational staff training program. Develop curricula and training materials to ensure a well trained workforce. Stay abreast of all regulatory, corporate compliance and best practice protocols in the field to ensure modification of all training materials to meet current standards of excellence.
+ Provide orientation and ongoing training to all job coaches and job developers.
+ Through training and observation assist the coordinators as requested to ensure ongoing provision of services in compliance with all internal and regulatory quality assurance and corporate compliance standards; provide refresher training sessions as indicated.
+ Reviewing ISP?s upon receipt to ensure acquisition of timely and accurate documentation of SEMP services provision
+ Oversee DDP completion process.
+ Participate in OPWDD and ACCES billing
+ Maintain monthly vocational calendar.
+ Input monthly information necessary to complete quarterly reports.
+ Participate in semi-annual internal audit and all State audits.
+ Provide job coaching services, as needed.
+ Participate in committees or projects for program improvement as appropriate.
+ Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings, as necessary.
+ Other duties as assigned
Adhere to ACLDs commitment to attend and maintain the Council on Quality and Leadership?s (CQL) accreditation by:
+ Abiding by the ten basic assurance principles
+ Assisting with providing the person-centered organizational systems developed by your program for people supported by ACLD
+ Assisting with helping people supported by ACLD to achieve their Personal Outcome Measures (POM). A POM is the priority established by each person for his/her life?s goals.
+ Promoting, contributing to and building the practices of Social Capital that lead to an ?Enviable Life? for each person supported by ACLD. Social Capital is ensuring each person supported has opportunities to maintain an active social connection in the community.
We require:
+ Bachelor?s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education or related field, strongly preferred.
+ Minimum one year experience working in the field
+ Clean, valid NYS Drivers License
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to coach and counsel, interpret and advise, and the ability to develop and present to professional forums
+ Substantial reasoning skills required including the ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete issues simultaneously; the ability to identify problems, interpret data and draw conclusions; and the ability to apply principles of logic or theoretical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
