Human Resources Intern - Compensation & Benefits

Interns in this role will be given practical experience in HR areas from talent and management/leadership development to people analytics, compensation and benefits to managing business change (to name a few). The variety is vast and real, so you can expect non- stop learning. You will work collaboratively with highly experienced HR leaders/professionals as part of the Compensation & Benefits team. You will have the opportunity to work on a projects that will focus on strengthening the employee experience and to be innovative by suggesting, creating, and implementing solutions that can make an impact to our people and culture. You will support the Compensation & Benefits team in the design, administration, analysis and management of all of the Companys benefits and compensation programs; partner with your team and the appropriate vendors to administer all employee health, welfare, income protection and retirement savings plans as needed; help to design and administer compensation and incentive programs and procedures to align with the companys total rewards objectives, wage and hour laws and Fair Labor Standards Act; and work with the team to analyze compensation data, perform job evaluations, and determine classification and salary.

Completing a bachelors or masters degree between December 2017 and June 2018 with preferred majors in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Industrial and Labor Relations, Finance, Accounting, or Management.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR Technology end-user report writer tools Working knowledge of compensation theory and practices for total rewards- base, variable, and differential compensation, and effective employee communications vehicles is a plus.
Working knowledge of Human Resources practices and labor laws especially wage and hour is a plus.
Experience with Workday a plus.
Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, problem solving and conceptual skills along with a thorough working knowledge of Compensation management methods, processes, practices and requirements.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects at once.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Use of good judgment.

Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
