Manager Sales Commissions

The Commission Manager position is a lead administrative role that directly supports the Sales Organization. This function plays a critical role to the operational success of the Sales Organization by providing metrics to our senior leaders, helping build and deploy communications to our sales teams, and ensuring the sales compensation programs align with sales strategy. Commission Manager is responsible for managing the entire commission process, implementing new logic and coding, conducting audits, and ensuring the accurate payments for their assigned sales channels. The Commission Manager plays an integral role in the discussion, strategy, development and tracking of all commission and incentive plans and proposed changes. The Commission Manager will ensure compliance with all Sarbanes Oxley requirements. The Commission Manager is responsible for the implementation of new processes, commission structures, and developing procedures for handling exceptions. Oversee the accurate development of commission logic and rules, writes code in databases. Develop communication tools and processes to ensure that all parties impacted by any change in systems or comp plan rules are notified and trained in a timely manner. Coach and train other analysts on matters related to new procedures, rules, or new system functionalities. Provide their expert advice to Sales Management through understanding of variable compensation plans, rules, and sales reporting while making appropriate recommendations. Conduct monthly closing procedures that involve reconciliation of payroll and preparation of financial accruals. Effectively build and maintain plan documents, presentation materials, and calculators. Manage the retention of commission related records that are critical to the business. Evaluate current practices and processes, and provide recommendations to the Commission Director Develop new audit programs to ensure adequate financial controls. Develop and maintain a masterinventory of businesses policies, practices and processes. Integrate data across multiple systems to gather sales information, analyze, and audit commission payments. Perform Commission System data integrity and security checks monthly. Research and resolve any issues found. Identify inconsistencies by performing monthly audits of financial data and analyze statistical trends. Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Auditing, or minimum of 3-5 years of equivalent practical business experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial data processing and modeling. Prior experience leading and motivating a team. Experience performing advanced compensation analyses and modeling, producing complex reports, developing dashboards, and creating/tracking effective metrics. Firm knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance rules and regulations. Experience configuring and administering commission platforms preferred. Experience in sales commission processing and financial analysispreferred. Familiarity with SalesForce.com and IDA preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee data and business plans. Ability to organize information from different systems into integrated reports. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Mathematically and logically oriented. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
